As part of the COVID-19 Innovecs Fund, the company will purchase and install an oxygen pipeline system at the Kyiv City Clinical Hospital No. 17. It is the main hospital specializing in respiratory diseases. The new pipeline will cover several buildings of the hospital at once, its total cost will be 486 (four hundred eighty-six) thousand hryvnias.  Such a pipeline will allow for carrying out timely oxygen therapy for many patients with exacerbation of coronavirus infection COVID-19 and with diseases of the respiratory tract. According to the Сhief of medical issues Tatyana Baranovskaya, the old hospital system was designed to serve a maximum of 10 patients. The new oxygen pipeline will allow doctors to save 60 people at once and increase the chances of recovery for patients with COVID-19.

Today, Innovecs has decided to create the “Innovecs COVID-19 Fund” in the amount of 1,500,000 (one million and a half) hryvnias to fight COVID-19 in Ukraine. The funds will be directed to support the initiatives that combat coronavirus in Ukraine, as well as to ensure the safety of the company’s employees and their families. We are working closely with all the relevant organizations that coordinate efforts to overcome the coronavirus. We are also considering the medical institutions’ need for material and financial resources. And we are ready to provide expertise and resources and contribute to combating the COVID-19 pandemic in Ukraine.

Due to the coronavirus outbreak, SXSW 2020 has announced its cancellation just a few days before its start.  SXSW is the annual conference focused on advertising, game industry, design, experiential storytelling, media, and journalism to be held in downtown Austin. It was scheduled to take place on March 13-22 in Austin, TX, and aimed to bring together the best minds of the advertising and brand experience sector. InnoCamp, an educational development program for IT specialists based on international business practices and powered by Innovecs, congratulates 20 students as they graduate the QA Automation track in InnoCamp. The track started in January 2020. During the track, our students learned how: to automate the testing process  to write code with Java  to effectively work in teams Overall, the track lasted for 88 hours: 64 hours with the focus on technical skills (automation with Selenium WebDriver, Maven, Cucumber, and WebAPI) 16 hours with the focus on soft skills development and the ability to work in the team 8 hours with the focus on a specific course of technical English for QA engineers Each training was thoroughly supported by Innovecs experts, who set the benchmark in training standards gained from their extensive knowledge in international practices. Together with the Innovecs HR team, our experts also improved their own mentorship and supervising skills including creativity, effective communication, critical thinking, took their tech English to the next level, and planned their professional path at the career workshop. All graduates of the QA automation track were awarded a certificate of QA track completion in the end. The students with the best final test results will get an opportunity to become interns in Innovecs.

NRF 2020, the biggest retail conference in the world, took place on January 11-14th in New York at the Javits Center and brought together the best minds of the retail industry. The conference provided insight into the retail industry, introduced new technologies, trends, and services. NRF 2020 allowed for networking opportunities and making new connections. This retail big show featured over 400 top industry speakers, 40000 attendees, and 200 workshops and sessions. This year, the list of speakers included experts from companies such as Amazon, Alibaba, Microsoft, Ralph Lauren, Samsung, Mastercard, Reebok, Marks & Spencer, American Express, and others, and others.

Summer Internship Program (SIP) is all about growing our own talents in-house. We have created it as a platform to offer opportunities to the next generation of budding software engineers. This is not only of a benefit to interns but is also a way of building a pipeline for future leaders, and thus enriching the whole industry with new talents. SIP started at the end of August 2019 and lasted for 12 weeks. After thorough assessments, six talented interns joined Innovecs for 12 weeks to learn from our leading Engineering experts and develop their projects in InnoCamp. The internship process involved an initial bootcamp, mentoring, and enrollment in an ongoing education program. It also included a project assignment that interns were responsible for and a final project presentation. The SIP’s key feature is about making it possible to implement the ideas of our current employees with the trainees being involved in the process. Among the 10 most promising ideas, we have chosen three to make them real. All in all, six interns have worked in pairs to develop and represent these projects set to enhance the level of employees’ engagement in the company: Café Credits: a service for cash-free purchases at InnoHub Bar — a local office café. It allows people to buy real items at the bar by paying with virtual credits, that were awarded to employees in terms of employees’ engagement program. For example, you can use 3 credits to buy a coffee and an éclair. Intern Campus: an application to manage interns’ achievements and awards in terms of the internship program. It also includes additional features such as feedback, status, mentorships, and allows us to monitor the general success of each intern. Career Path: an innovative product which helps employees who are looking towards professional growth opportunities to plan their career within a company. It empowers HR specialists with a tool to create career maps and add position requirements and skills. Each team consisted of one Front-end and one Back-end intern developer. To ensure effectiveness during the work process, they were guided by individual mentors and the idea creators in the role of a product owner. Innovecs announces the launch of the QA Automation track in InnoCamp which starts in January 2020 and entails the possibility to pass a salary-based internship by working on real projects within the company. Innovecs, a global software development company, starts a selection process for the Quality Assurance (Automation) track on the basis of InnoCamp, our educational hub. It is the third track directed towards the development of competencies of the future IT specialists in Ukraine. In 2019, the company successfully held QA Manual and Front-end (React, JavaScript) tracks. 18 InnoCamp graduates have started their career path in Innovecs.

On December 12th, 2019, a final event of the HR Brand Award was held in Kyiv, Ukraine. It ended with the announcement of winners of the annual leading HR initiatives contest. Innovecs project “Innovation Vector” was awarded as one of the best HR projects in Ukraine due to the huge impact on employees’ development and involvement – main accents in HR goals today. The world does not stand still.
