The client is a fast-growing 3PL provider specializing in efficient supply chain solutions for retail, manufacturing, and e-commerce businesses. With a strong focus on operational accuracy and data-driven decision-making, the company relies heavily on electronic data interchange (EDI) to ensure smooth, real-time communication with partners, vendors, and clients. As their network expanded, so did the complexity and volume of their data workflows, calling for a robust and scalable EDI management solution.
The Innovecs team partnered with the client to enhance their EDI capabilities and streamline customer onboarding. The project focused on developing a custom document processing solution, enabling integration between WMS and ERP systems, and supporting flexible, client-specific data formats to reduce operational delays, errors, and extra expenses.
3PLs and their customers often have specific requirements regarding the document exchange process between their warehouse management system (WMS) and their ERP system, requiring variable document types and formats processing. The unique and complex nature of varying documentation often leads to errors, delays, and additional expenses.
